On December 10, President Obama was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for appealing for no nuclear weapons in the world. Although what he received is great, I think that his speech at the award ceremony is in contradiction to his appeal because he spoke about the just of wars. I don’t understand how a person who hopes to abolish nuclear weapons can defend wars. For example, if we defend wars or the use of force, we defend the use of atom bombs in World War Ⅱ too. I have been to see the Atomic Bomb Memorial Dome and Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima, and I understand how much misery and sorrow accompany the war there. Who can judge right or wrong, even if a war is justified? Therefore, I think there is no justification for wars or force, so I was disappointed with Obama’s speech earlier this month.

How to Make Curry

Curry and rice is a popular food among children and easy to make. First, the necessary ingredients and implements for example, curry powder, meat, onions, potatoes, carrots, butter, a kitchen knife, and a pan. Second, cut the vegetables and meat to eat easily with kitchen knife. Third, put butter in the pan and stir-fry the vegetables and meat. After the meat changes color, add water in the pan and boil them over a high flame. Then, skim the scum from the pan, and boil them over moderate heat for about 15 minutes. Later, put curry powder in the pan, turn down the heat, and boil them for about 10 minutes. Finally, serve rice with the curry in a dish. I think curry and rice is very delicious, so I recommend it.

My Character

I am shy, so I’m not good at talking to a person I meet for the first time. But I think I want to change the character because I am troubled that I can’t tell my opinions to other people properly. For the purpose, I try to talk to stranger by little and little. I want to be able to talk naturally to anyone.

About Novel Influenza

Now, “Novel Influenza A (H1N1)” is caused by a new flu virus that was first detected in April, 2009. The virus is infecting people and is spreading from person to person. My younger brother’s school was closed by the influenza for 3 days, so I always gargle and wash my hands as soon as I come home not to catch the influenza. I hope the circumstance calmed down at once.

Thing I Like to Do on the Weekend

I often enjoy doing my hobbies on the weekend for example, listening to music and reading comic books. I especially like “Porno Graffitti”, so I listen to their songs very often. They are very cool. Above all things, I like “Koyoi, Tsuki ga Miezutomo” and “Animarossa”. Also, if I have homework, I do it. Best of all, I like to watch TV programs or DVDs on the weekend because I have very little free time on weekdays. Therefore, I frequently tape-record TV programs which I can’t watch on weekdays, and I watch them on the weekend. My favorite TV programs are quiz shows. However, even on weekends, I have recently no free time because I have a lot of things I have to do, so I feel time passes very fast. I wish I had more free time.
